mobileX has won Triathlon Holding GmbH as a new customer for mobileX-CrossMIP, the mobile service app, for mobileX-Dispatch, the tool for digital deployment planning, and for the forms module mobileX-CrossForms. Triathlon develops and produces high-performance batteries for use in electrically powered industrial trucks, electric pallet trucks, mobile elevating work platforms and cleaning machines. With the introduction of mobileX’s field service management solutions, Triathlon aims to digitize the service processes for the companies in the group and improve the quality of feedback.

Previously, the 40 dispatchers at Triathlon created notifications of malfunctions manually and then transferred them to the ERP. The 100 service technicians received their orders by mail with a PDF attachment; they recorded measured values and checklists manually on site. As this process was error-prone and no longer up to date, Triathlon 2021 looked around for a digital complete solution for deployment planning and mobile order processing.

The choice fell on the solutions of mobileX. The decisive factors were the precise fit of the functionality to Triathlon’s requirements and mobileX’s industry experience. The project started with an initial pilot phase in the mobileX ServiceCloud at the end of 2021. In August, a selection of dispatchers and technicians will test mobileX-Dispatch and mobileX-CrossMIP in Soest. In a second phase, the mobileX solutions will then be rolled out to all technicians and dispatchers throughout Germany.

With the digital tool for dispatch planning mobileX-Dispatch, the dispatchers of the Triathlon Group will be able to easily plan the orders for the technicians in the future via a Gantt chart with integrated map. The route optimization ensures that the routes are optimized for the shortest distances or travel times, thereby minimizing the CO2 impact. The technicians receive all information about the job on their tablets via the mobile app mobileX-CrossMIP. They use it to create all the documentation, such as feedback and service reports, which are then transferred directly to the ERP system. In the future, the technicians will process forms digitally via the mobileX-CrossForms module. This enables Triathlon to centrally create individual, dynamic forms for the mobileX-CrossMIP mobile app and distribute them to users.
