mobileX has won KOCH Pac-Systeme GmbH as a new customer for mobileX-CrossMIP, the service app for technicians, and mobileX-Dispatch, the deployment planning software. KOCH Pac-Systeme is a leading specialist for individual blister packaging technologies in the consumer goods, medical technology and contact lens sectors and part of the Uhlmann Group. With the introduction of the Field Service Management solutions, the company wants to digitalise the service processes throughout and standardise the IT systems used within the Uhlmann Group.
Until now, the technicians of KOCH Pac-Systeme documented their service orders and reports on paper. These were then signed by the team leader and scanned in. Time recording was also paper-based. An HR pre-planning system is used for scheduling the technicians, which is used to reserve technicians from production for service assignments one month in advance. SAP S/4HANA Service serves as the backend system, from which the orders and operations for the service calls are generated and in which all information about the machines and customers is stored.
The project start at KOCH Pac-Systeme took place in December 2020. With the introduction of mobileX-CrossMIP for mobile order processing of the service technicians and mobileX-Dispatch for deployment planning, a service process without media discontinuity is now created that reduces the susceptibility to errors and accelerates the throughput times of orders from notification to invoicing. The mobileX release monitor for the digital feedback from the technicians acts as an additional checking instance to ensure that incorrect bookings in SAP are avoided.
