10 years of mobileX

CEO Hannes Heckner and his founding team were already working on mobile business solutions on a team at IXOS in 2000 before the company's founding. When the department was dissolved, the colleagues founded mobileX and developed their own solution: mobileX-MIP (Mobile Integration Platform).
At first the "mobile workplace concept" was slow to catch on in the market. But mobileX quickly became known in the IT industry and presented its mobileX-MIP platform at trade shows and events.
Companies quickly realised the potential savings of job processing without media discontinuities. At the same time, mobileX recognised the importance of having a tool for resource planning and management for a fully integrated solution. Since that time mobileX has been one of the few firms to offer both a dispatching and a mobility solution.
With a brilliant team now numbering 35, mobileX has grown into a market leader in the Mobile Workforce Management field. Prominent firms including ThyssenKrupp Aufzüge, Alfred Kärcher, STRABAG, Melitta, and many others rely on mobileX and have successfully used the Mobile Workforce Management products mobileX-MIP and mobileX-Dispatch. There are also big plans for the future. ”The mobile market is booming. New innovations are springing up every day. This also motives mobileX. We keep up with developments and integrate new hardware, such as the iPad,“ says Heckner. The same is true for the integration of additional back-end systems. There have long been standard interfaces to the major systems, such as SAP, but mobileX will integrate additional systems. Nothing changes on the customer's existing back end.
