The Hannover Messe is the world's foremost trade show for industrial technology. In keeping with the main theme of the show, Industrial automation and IT, T-Systems Multimedia Solutions is presenting a M2M solution at the trade show stand. In the example scenario, a pump is monitored using an M2M gateway. When there is a problem with the pump, a notification is created in SAP PM. The notification is then automatically assigned to the most suitable service technician by mobileX-Dispatch and is sent to the mobile device. This „live“ scenario was implemented and presented at the Hannover Messe using real systems. Just a few moments after the pump failed, the service order appeared on the technician's mobile device in mobileX-MIP for Field Service.
With this approach, the connection between IT and industry will be more important than ever in the years to come. With M2M in combination with Mobile Workforce Management, service quality can be increased and costs can be reduced. This affects the entire production and maintenance process, as well as purchasing, logistics, and service. With automated business processes with mobileX-Dispatch and mobileX-MIP for Field Service, resources are used more efficiently and the response to new requirements is faster.
But the concept of M2M and Mobile Workforce Management does not stop at the company gates, but also affects many areas of public life.
In the fully integrated company of the future, IT solutions are not only the link between companies, business partners, vendors, and end customers. They also connect machines with employees, production processes with maintenance processes, as well as purchasing, logistics, and service. They enable automation of business processes and more efficient use of resources. They help you to respond to new requirements more quickly across the entire company, increase service quality, and lower costs.
