Participants continued their conversations during breaks between sessions. When there were questions, expert project managers with considerable experience in successfully running Mobile Workforce Management systems were on hand and were an excellent source of additional information and tips and tricks for implementing projects.
These discussions made it possible to meet the goal of the Mobile Enterprise Forum by noon of the first day. The objective was to provide a platform for exchanging information between companies that want to optimise service and maintenance and those that are already a little further along in the process.
Over 70 participants from different industries took part in the two events, one in Düsseldorf in late May and one in Munich in late June. Since the topic of the event was intentionally framed broadly, project managers from utility companies and machinery and plant manufacturers joined service managers from service providers and telecom providers. The topic that united all of the participants was providing added value in service and maintenance through Mobile Workforce Management.
In Düsseldorf, project managers at ThyssenKrupp Aufzüge and MVV Energie delivered presentations on the use of the mobile solution at the company, while ISTA held a presentation on using route optimisation. In Munich, representatives from Alfred Kärcher, Mainova, and Vorarlberger Energienetze reported on current progress of the company's use of the mobile solution and resource planning.
Feedback on the event:
„The presenters clearly know their material," noted one participant during a session break. „The opportunity to learn directly from people who have completed projects similar to the ones we're now planning was very valuable for us. We were also able to learn a lot from the other presentations that we can use in our own project.“
